So to sum up the arc....

A mortal friend of Thor's inexplicably becomes worthy of the hammer and replaces Thor only to sacrifice their life against a stronger foe to save the world.

For all the 'new' and 'groundbreaking' praise this arc has received it sounds an awful lot like a rehash of the Eric Masterson arc.

EVERYTHING from Aaron is a ripped off bastardization of what has been done before AND done extremely better.
