The arm-wrestling match is basically filler. The 'Odinson' shows up and ends their match prematurely. Hercules said he'll go back to Olympus and try to enlist Zeus in the wars facing the Asgardian realms.

Volstagg is found and returned to Asgardia for healing. Cameo of his wife sitting by his side. Odinson believes Mangog is coming, and tries to talk Jane out of the battle and to return to her healing.

Instead she marches to the throne room and lectures the gods. Cul rambles about being the reagent of Asgardia in Odin's stead. Odin himself bursts in, makes a rather nasty slur about Jane, when Freyja appears half-healed and sides with Jane.

Heimdall is seen on the rainbow bridge. He is musing about the coming events when Mangog crashes down on the rainbow bridge behind him. Heimdall prepares for battle.

I was hoping for a more exciting issue, but this one was mostly filler. At least Mangog is in Asgardia now, and battle is imminent.

Just watched Thor Talk and this beauty of a quote popped up.

Big Asgardian Female: "Revolution! Death to the Patriarchy!"

Subtlety thy name is not Jason Aaron.

but even that is outdone by:

Hercules: "Its been too long since I kissed a Thor!"

...wondering at this point how long Aaron's taint will take to wash off?

Also why, in the middle of a war does Jane go off arm wrestling Hercules; that's the sort of frivolous competition heroes do AFTER a battle is won. Seems to undermine the seriousness of the situation.
