While I do believe Loki is lying to Masterson about him only wielding a tenth of Thor's strength, it's legitimate to question if he does indeed possess all of Thor's physical power based on his lack of durability and stamina in this fight. Thor has fought Loki many times over the years in this same exact scenario and never had busted ribs or was wobbly on his feet. Loki dominated this fight so quickly and decisively. I know Masterson's experience plays a factor but this battle appears to give credibility to Thor's statement of his strength being only his based on birthright.

I am not sure that the statements are in contradiction. Thor's strength is his birthright, but at the same time it is the power of Thor -- and somehow gets passed along with the worthiness enchantment.

I agree that its a legitimate question, with regard to Eric Masterson, but the general consensus is that Masterson was close enough in strength to Thor that it makes any contrary contention a moot point. He was able to stalemate Gladiator, for example.

I was recently engaged in a discussion about this topic on the Battle Board, because Eric's battle with Seth raises this question. Bloodaxe was demolished by Seth, but somehow Bloodaxe + Thunderstrike was able to overpower Seth. Combined with Bloodstrike (Bloodaxe + Thunderstrike) being portrayed as a physical rival to Thor, the point could be argued that Eric as Thor was merely Class 85 along with Skurge.

I didn't vigorously argue that Eric was equal to Skurge, but my point was that the question does raise doubt for some people.
