Yes, thanks, but when did these Beyonders entities show up?

The Beyonders were first referenced in an excellent Marvel-Two-in-One story arc from the early 1980s in which the Beyonders act through third party aliens to steal Counter Earth to study. The High Evolutionary initially objects but then goes along with it in order to learn more about the Beyonders. The Beyonders never appear on panel in the story.

Later, the Beyonder appears in the first Secret Wars story and appears to be all powerful. After Secret Wars II, he is retconned into a cosmic cube entity and cosmic cubes are revealed to be created by the Beyonders race. The Beyonders use cosmic cubes to study the universe/multiverse and the original SW Beyonder is referred to an "infant unit."

The Beyonders finally make their first on panel appearance in Jonathan Hickman's huge Avengers/New Avengers run that eventually led to his Secret Wars event. The Beyonders have decided to destroy the multiverse and they are powerful enough to defeat all abstract entities, Celestials, and even the Living Tribunal. Dr. Doom figures out that their vulnerability is time manipulation and creates a device that destroys them while channeling their power into the Molecule Man who operates as a battery to make Doom all powerful. In Hickman's Secret Wars, while Black Panther wields the Infinity Gauntlet to distract Doom, Reed Richards severs the Molecule Man connection and defeats Doom. The Beyonders' energy remains with the Molecule Man currently making him the most powerful being in the MU, not counting The One Above All. Galactus noted that this MM could destroy him with a thought.
