Could he be fine without His hammer, or any other weapon to use?
In mythology Thor was the Thunder god before he received Mjolnir.  Mjolnir was in itself almost its own legend and together with Thor's power they were a complete package. The hammer was made to make Thor an even more powerful foe to the giants. The comic book Thor is different from his mythical counterpart in that writers had him rely too much upon Mjolnir as a defining thing. Thor will still be Thor even without Mjolnir but the hammer is so tied to Thor that it is almost impossible to separate the two. Yes, Thor would be fine without Mjolnir but he would be the same and we know him. Ask yourself this question could Superman be Superman without the sun? Could/would Superman be Superman if he was still on Krypton before it was destroyed? Does the sun define Superman?
