And that is your opinion and you are welcome to it.

Of course. I already know this.

I think you are wrong. Unless you think this Thor is different than other versions. Or you have totally different takes.

And he may be. Mjolnir is not the same version as before is it? He wasn't the same guy under Aaron's run either as being severely under-powered and humiliated. I don't remember you complaining about that characterization.

Odin was not able to casually destroy a being at that level before. At least not Galactus. King Thor was about on par or a tad below before.

Odin wasn't a killer either. When was Odin ever been shown to kill anyone?

His motivation is a whatever thing. If we are talking power, this is out of the blue unless this Thor is much more powerful than any other Thor or skyfather we have ever seen.

And maybe he is now. Is that such a terrible thing to accept?

Or more likely that Cates likes the wow moments that make no sense. Which seems likely. My opinion, but supported by Thanos wins series. He casually killed Galactus without effort, KT and so on with no clearly stated major upgrade.

Even before Cates, Thanos always got special treatment whooping up everyone's ass in the Marvel universe. And if I remember correctly that was a different timeline anyway.

All to make what story he wanted to work work. If you enjoyed it, that is fine. Enjoy away. But in terms of general cannon of Marvel it makes no sense.

Aaron's Thor made no sense either in my opinion changing Mjolnir with the cosmic storm nonsense, making Thor unworthy for still no real unexplained reason, making Jane worthy with no justification. I didn't see you writing about all of that regarding canon.

No the only reason you're complaining here and now is because you're a Galactus Fanboy.

It also makes passed skyfathers look odd, if they did not deal with Galactus easily before. Maybe Thor is vastly more powerful than they are, but reasons for that have yet to be stated to my knowledge other than Cates needed it to be true.

And maybe we'll have to see before bashing Cates after only 6 issues?

There was also no need for it to happen this way. Galactus has numerous crimes, but Odin himself acknowledged his purpose and point. One would think Thor would have similar wisdom.

And maybe there will be repercussions and consequences for his action? Which could be a good story-line to see what they are?

This is majorly ignoring a fair bit of Galactus and using him only as a measuring stick.

Galactus has been used as a measuring stick many times before this.

Take all of that as you will.

Time for you to write Cates.

Perhaps he will give you the reasons for this showing. It will be interesting to see hopefully what a future letter-page will say about this story.

By the way it's good to see you on here again. It's been awhile since I've seen you post. I was worried something might have happened to you. ;\)
