Hey adey!

Unlucky in the cup final but at least Chelsea got top four. ;\-\)

....... if we as Thor fans can’t support our boy when he’s shown in a very positive light then, what’s the point?

Might as well close the door and turn off the lights on the way out.

Cates made the defeat of Super-Duper Galactus EASY.
Cates made the defeat of Universal Threat Black Winter EASY.
He has made Thor into a "Gary Stu" (male counterpart to a Mary Sue).

I know it was easier than everyone anticipated, me too. I expected it to be a longer, drawn-out fight, but it wasn’t. It’s not the end of the world, but, by some reactions it seems like it is. Thor just can’t win (even when he does).

I don't think I have seen anyone saying its the end of the world. Its a victory ( YEAH! ), but its a completely shallow and therefore hollow victory ( MEH! )

You can't say even you thought the outcome was too easy and a fight that momentous should have been more drawn out YET STILL complain about people who are criticizing it.

I want to read stories where Thor faces challenges that are TOUGH and DIFFICULT, but because he is a hero he doesn't give up and wins in the end. That is what a HERO is, not someone who triumphs easily.

Yes, me too, but this was a slight change of pace. Also, people have been crying out for less decompression in comics, from time to time, and when we finally get it, albeit, not as satisfying as some would want, there are still naysayers.

He had SIX issues and basically resolved both fights (against Super-duper Galactus and Universal Threat Black Winter) in about 2 panels each.

You mentioned about tough challenges and difficult obstacles for Thor. Well, when Aaron did the God Butcher arc there were some still complaining that it shouldn’t take 3 Thor’s to beat the Voldemort knock-off, Gorr.

That arc made sense though. The only criticism was its decompression. The only people complaining it shouldn't take 3 Thor's were the extreme battle board fanboys (who are now loving Cates first arc).

I see your point. But, I’m still happy that we’ve had Thor at this power level, even though it’s only temporary. I think what has really made s a big issue is probably how quick it happened, which took people by surprise. People weren’t expecting Thor to be like this because of all the bad stuff from Aaron that came before, so, it’s probably a bit jarring for some.

I'll take Cates over Aaron any day of the week.
