    Quote:
Seriously? When writers like Roy Thomas, probably the second most significant Marvel (non Artist) individual after Stan can’t make his mind up, there’s nothing to ‘unravel’. Blake’s legacy, if you can call it that has never been closed. It’s the same as Vision’s origin, or Kang’s history. There have been numerous takes but nothing definitive. In that respect Blake is fair game.

Everything is fair game. Blake never really had a legacy, since he was Thor himself in mortal form. The purpose of Blake was indeed wrapped up twice. Once to teach Thor humility, once to conceal Odin's plan from the Shadow Gods.

My point is that Cates is almost certainly going to tie Blake's origin into one of his over-the-top story threads, ignoring what Oeming did to close down that thread.

Again, it's all fair game. However, that Cates is utterly unrestrained by any and all editorial control just means that he's as troublesome as Aaron. Those who are cheering Cates now will have no leg to stand on when the other shoe drops.

Just saying.
