My only complaint about this book is the art shifting page to page with all the guest artists jumping in to make it happen. Some were amazing, some not so much.
Basically the book is getting a revamp after the events of No Justice and Metal and BENDIS! and all the other tragedies that have befallen the DCU of late. It opens with Nightwing chasing a young woman who's meta powers have suddenly erupted thanks to the Source Wall collapse. Unfortunately the girl is terrified of him and uses her new uncontrolled antimatter power to leap off a subway train and into the path of another, killing herself. Something Grayson isn't handling well.
He approaches the League to TELL them he's putting a new Titans team together to help cope with the Emergents, the League says they approve and he can operate under the League, he advises them he was just being courteous and wasn't looking for permission.
He recruits his new team, under the sinister watch of.. someone. Raven, Gar (who's powers are difficult to control now), Donna who's taken to Tequilla breakfast shots, and Steel (Natasha) who's been investigating all of the strange changes to not just people on the planet and has developed detection systems ahead of the curve.
Of course 4 is pretty slim unless you're Fantastic or Terrific, so when they begin to move into their new accomodations at the Hall of Justice and a threat appears, the mystery figure reveals herself.. Ms Martian, appointed of course by the League as a baby sitter. Given I have no idea what she's been up to since Nu52 and Rebirth or that she even existed in the current books. The final pages are Brother Blood advising his followers of the great changes coming to the world and how they will reap the benefits.
All in all pretty good. I had nothing but fondness for the prior team, the jist of this one being they need to be more of a functional unit rather than just a bunch of friends hanging out.
My only real question was ...why is Power Girl's costume included in the show room if she never "existed" on this new earth. And who's paying for Donna's apartment?? LOL
I've read the solicits for the upcoming issues of titans and as usual it's just more rehash from pre-flashpoint...oooohhh Miss Martian has a secret! Wonder what it could be....White Martian mayhap? Yawn. Wake me up when we finally go full pre-flashpoint.
