I woke up this morning and had pretty much gotten over the brutality of what I saw last night.

After all it's only a show.

However, I do question on one level why I'm watching the show.

I think someone that has more trouble compartmentalizing emotions is going to not want to watch the show anymore.

I think they are going to lose a lot of viewers because of last night.

I went to AV Club and a lot of people were talking about how done they are with the show.

Since I'm not a huge fan of the show it was harder for me to be outraged so I rather enjoyed the episode. I mean it was nihilistic as f*ck but for the first time in 2 1/2 seasons the show seems to be moving again. Once the Governor (love him or leave him) was gone the show kind of lacked focus. The show NEEDS a strong villain. Zombies get old. I kind of get annoyed with the whimsical vignettes of every day life in the zombie apocalypse where everyone sulks. And the whole Alexandria stuff bores me. I'm glad we finally have a real villain again. The wolves, terminus cannibals and the gang who tried to bugger Carl really weren't cutting it.
