It was a very good introduction. Carol's reaction to meeting him was priceless, and her reaction afterwards (when she was alone with Morgan) had me laughing out loud (the very first time this show ever achieved that). And then his dropping-the-mask scene humanized him, and showed us he's not a crazy lunatic. Heck, Ezekiel even impresses the Saviors.

In the comics, Ezekiel ends up with Michonne. Looks like in the show, Michonne pairs up with Rick and Carol pairs up with Ezekiel. I think both of these pairings make a lot of sense.

Carol is my favorite character on this show by a wide margin, and King Ezekiel looks like a very interesting love-interest for her - so I'm on board. It's about time Carol had a strong partner who treats her well.

I hated Carol in seasons 1 and 2. The whole battered wife story made me think of her as useless. But once they killed her family off and she started mass murdering people I finally warmed up to her.
