I'm one of the few people who liked the premiere and the Ezekiel episode. But this recent episode bored me to tears. I'm gettng sick of Negan already but I think we're going to hear his motormouth from now on until the series finale. This must be how Deadpool's victims feel when he doesn't shut up.

Every episode won't be of epic proportions. Some are going to concentrate on filling in the backgrounds of new(er) characters like this one did. As the series progresses episodes like this are necessary to understand the overall story arc. Like a great piece of music, a series like this needs some lower key episodes so that the ones creating tension stand out more. Dwayne certainly isn't a favorite of mine, but I'm content to see where this is all going.

It being Epic or not isn't really my concern. Last week's Ezekiel episode wasn't epic...but I enjoyed it. This week's episode just bored me (even though I like this Dwight guy). Between Negan's posturing, the dog food sandwiches, the stupid scene where Dwight is walking that guy back to camp and the horrible music choices I was really really bored.

FTWD, on the other hand, has been a bore fest for the most part which makes me appreciate the parent show all that much more. In general I like the pacing of TWD and that every episode isn't high tension and over the top.

It is a boring show. So is the original. I've gotten to the point on both shows where I actively root against the main characters and enjoy when they die. I cheered when Abraham bought it.

The characters are rarely developed enough to care about before they die.
