The In Media Res timeframe jumping detracted from the story as it was presented (sans supertext). The sacrifice sequence was a tad confusing to me with the Who's Who. Some of the art was awesome, some of it was okay. Some of the story was okay, some of it was just average. The Amazons battling the Birds of Ares did not seem that interesting or grave danger as it was presented. Seeing how this take is more connected to the DCU continuity, compared to Azzarello's run, seeing so much interaction with the JLA after only 2 issues surprisingly takes some getting use to. Big WOW factor with that ending! What did you think? I miss Dad and Dan especially during the holidays.

That is how I would describe the issues. It was all over the place and a pain in the butt. How many witches are there, who sits on the council, are the birds mechanical, why is her battle armor a two-piece?????

The outburst at Clark about being pulled in different directions/stress didn't seem 'real'. The situation is real, the reaction not.

I can understand the old bitty complaining about Diana commitment...there is always one. Whether she is right or wrong...there are plenty of other characters that are rulers/heroes so this plot is an oldie..can it be a goodie though; I don't know.

The execution is lacking of story AS WELL AS art s not there. But I'll hang in there for the same amount I gave Azz/Chiang before I move on.

The only good part....DONNA iS BACK!!!! Then gain, what is the rebooted Donna going to be like? I will stay tuned to see...for a little bit.
