The Finch's have inherited an awful lot of stuff to deal with from Brian Azzarello's sterling run, Diana ending up with the God of War title was a natural outcome of the events which he set in motion, but what any writer is supposed to do with this is a mystery.
The weighty God of War title handed to a new goddess who is barely even a child, never mind a god. Ares gave her his mantle for a reason, but the responsibilities that come with it are as yet something Diana barely understands or appreciates.
The fact that she is Amazon and Olympiam god should make her choice to surrender her life in the outside world an easy one to make, but perhaps the direction the Finch's are pursuing is in exploring what such pressure does to one so young, three lives to lead and a seeming vaccilation of what to do about the situation tends to suggest a storyline looking at Diana's coming of age. Can she really handle these three demanding roles at the same time? And in doing so will she further earn the name Wonder Woman...?

get rid of the Goddess of War mantle. She should't be Goddess of anything she has enough on her plate. Do what previous writers have done ..get rid of the elements you don't want. Have her relinquish the title.

And while I can understand a coming of age story..sort of...I don't want to read it. This is Wonder WOMAN we are supposed to be reading, not Wonder Girl. Diana has been trained since she was a child to be a warrior, queen, etc. So while I get that she is young, she should be able to handle it since she has been prepared. She has even completed her 'gap year' out in man's world for how many years. If she can't handle it by now, how much longer will it take.

This may be my problem with the whole Nu52..since people have only been around for 5 yrs \(\?\) they are still learning their hero trade. Please give me some grown folks who know who they are, what they are supposed to do and go do it. I can understand being tired, over worked and under-appreciated...but this conflict of 'who am I' is getting on my nerves.

End rant. ;\)
