version of 'god of war'. War involves more than just fighting; this god of war jsut wants to pummel her fists. Not really the Wonder Woman we know and love (but all over Nu52 now).
This relationship is also getting on my nerves. Not that I'm the greatest fan of Supes and Lois (yeah, yeah, history, blah, blah- I've wondered for years why Supes didn't drop Lois off a tall building.) So I've been curious how Diana and Clark would play out. After 15 issues they should be 'stronger' than this if you know what I mean. Not only because of their personal relationship, but also their business relationship. Battles like these should go smoother...none of this 'what are you doing?' and 'trust' business. *sigh*
Magog and Circe together...interesting coupling. Magog I can understand the reason d'etre, but I question why the character of Wonderstar was ever needed. Why not just bring our goggie? Circe is a a little tiring, but let see what she does here.
Usually, I float between 'like' and 'meh'; but I didn't like this issue.
There was a reason the Greeks had two gods of war. Ares was the bezerker, fighting and violent aspect (which also differentiated him significantly from his Roman counterpart Mars who was more about honor, guarding and patriotism ie fighting for the betterment of the city-state) and Athena who personified strategy.
