As I recall she did get a mini-series or two at around this time and they were pretty much what you expected. The problem with Wonder Girl is that she will always be Wonder Woman jr, she will always borrow many of the same props as she does, and unlike say Supergirl Cassie will forever be tied to being a member of the Teen Titans.
That may be too harsh an assessment I have to admit, but when one looks to the quality of other such series starring Stargirl and even Power Girl it isn't at all hard to see why the audience and DC comics wouldn't support a title featuring Wonder Girl...
