Because she cannot summon lightning bolts on her own. The only reason she managed to kill Ares was reflecting his lightning back to him.

She doesn't just reflect it. She absorbs it, plays around with it, and then throws it back at him.

And don't forget, she exhibits other energy wielding powers all her own in that final showdown. She escapes from the tank tracks holding her with a blast of energy from her body. She throws off the entire group of soldiers without touching them. She disintegrates shrapnel in mid air, and channels energy through her bracelets which holds Steppenwolf's lightning at bay.

Because he's always been shown as stronger than her in whatever medium?

Times change.

Good. I may not like Wonder Twig, but she's twice the hero Super Necksnapper will ever be. She's inspired more in her limited appearances than Super Necksnapper has ever done in the entire history of the DCEU.

Yep. Absolutely agree.

Which is exactly why he doesn't deserve to be the Justice League's inspiration and focal point. The team needs a much better role model.

Or... We need better films from DC/Warners.

I would have left him to rot in the ground. Why form a team to take down Steppenwolf only for Super Necksnapper to make that a pointless endeavor by beating Steppenwolf all by himself? If that was all that was needed, then why did Bat-Punisher even NEED to form a team in the first place? Dumb!

Right. And why just those four? The Suicide Squad are around. So is Deathstroke, and it's implied that others are too. If he was so worried that his five man league wasn't enough, why didn't he recruit the others too?

Come to that, if the Atlanteans, Amazons and Green Lantern Corps (Or one of them at least) all pitched in to stop Steppenwolf the first time, why did they all stand around like spare lemons and leave it all up to the humans this time around?

What else do you expect from Zack Snyder and whoever wrote Justice League? These people do NOT know how to create a good a Super-Hero movie. I'm still wondering how long, and how many movies, will it take for the audience to FINALLY realize that?

The only things I expect from Snyder are bad things. He never lets me down.

I don't think the audience will stick around much longer. Warners have got by so far on presenting lots of 'firsts' that they know will go down well with fans even if the stories are bad. Man of Steel was the next best thing to a failure so in short order they've given us:

The first ever live action team up of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. A Joker/Harley Quinn movie. The first big budget Wonder Woman movie. A Justice League movie. But they can't keep doing that forever.
