Everyone may go crazy on what Fraction is doing, but what about just sitting back and enjoying the ride? All in all he is doing a great job, he has taken the X-Men to a place I never thought they would be. I mean...he is about to have a new age Atlantis built UNDERNEATH Asteroid M. Talk about future stories! People need to be more open minded to a good story without all the negatives about who is supposed to do what and who is supposed to be stronger than who. I can understand if it would effect the whole marvel universe or even X-verse...but come on...it's just to keep the story moving.

I'd like to do that, but the problem isn't in the direction so much as the execution. I could potentially be convinced that the X-Men's status quo being a sovereign nation with a rebuilt Atlantis underneath would be a good idea. In the stories I've read, what I'm seeing is that the X-Men's leader is a blundering dolt who acts like a master planner while all his solutions are really short-term at best, the characters with justified complaints against Scott are portrayed as narrow-minded hand-wringing intellectual elites, the vast majority of the X-Men are reduced to background characters, and reasons to have sympathy for these characters are conspicuously absent.

The ride has way too many frustrating aspects, more based on basic logic than continuity/"proper" characterization, to be enjoyable, which is why I got off.
