How come in the current New Mutants series Sunspot is not using all of his powers? Aside from strength he has the ability to fly and shoot blasts from his hands. It's like we have the Sunspot of old, before he developed these later uses for his powers, but my question is why? Sunspot is one of my favorite characters, I wish they'd show how cool he really is.

I think they haven't shown him flying for the same reason Kyle & Yost haven't shown Warpath flying, and why we had Magma rebooted back to being a Nova Roman - they're fans of how the characters were originally conceived, and aren't keen on the latter revisions made on them.

I got no problem with Sunspot flying or shooting energy, but having Warpath fly was stupid and I think it was revealed in X-Force that he still has that power while the writer I think said that Warpath either hated that power or it drained him greatly or something.
