In Sentry:Fallen Sun Rogue runs away crying at the Sentry's funeral because they had an affair. HUH? Aside from the question of what's the point, except to degrade Rogue's character, when could this possibly take place? Rogue is usually written as being less than 18 when she stole Carol's powers. She would have been a kid when the memory of Sentry's existence was erased from the world. If she had an affair with Bob while he lost the memory of being the Sentry, wouldn't she wonder WHY he could touch her without her absorbing his mind? If this took place after the Sentry's return in New Avengers, then shouldn't we have seen some evidence of it? Besides, wouldn't Rogue have probably known of the Sentry's mental problems at this point? Would Rogue really have sex with someone who wasn't in his right mind?
Rogue never says they had sex, just that he hugged her. I think the only good answer is that it happened sometime before she joined the X-Men. Since she joined the X-Men there have been people she could touch.
Not that any of that scene makes a lick of sense. What really scares me is that I don't see the point unless they're actually going to bring this up in the future. I might actually lose some sleep over this possibility.
