This is, of course, the same problem we had with Bendis retro-inserting a Sentry/Crystal affair back when she was dating Johnny, and was thus still a teenager, and he was twice her age and probably already married by then. Clearly, the Sentry isn't just a member of the Colossus Club for Pedos, he's the president.

Has it ever been established how old Crystal was when she first met Johnny? Johnny entered college a few issues after they met, so she might have been 18,19 or even 20. The Sentry's still a cradle robber, but it's more like Norman and Gwen. OTOH, as late as the X-Men's first battle with Nimrod, a fifteen year-old Kitty was thinking about how Rogue was about the same age as her and Rachel, so the idea that Sentry slept with Rogue before she joined the X-Men...EW!

And that's without even getting into how the same issue reveals Sentry supposedly first met the Inhumans when they teamed up to battle Red Ronin, who was built years later to combat Godzilla.

Fallen Sun had a similar problem, with Tony remarking that Bob helped him with his alcoholism, when Tony didn't become an alcoholic until the late '70's. In that case, however, it seems like there's a trend among writers to argue that Tony was always an alcoholic but somehow we never noticed it.

She's supposed to be around the same age as Johnny, and the needs of sliding timeline and fitting everything from FF #1 onwards into "around a decade" mean that when they were dating, they'd be about 17-18. I have no idea what the age of consent is in Attilan, but I suppose this may be less objectionable than sleeping with girls who are still legally considered children, it's still a guy who's supposed to be around the same age as Reed Richards, and is married, having affairs with teenage girls.

Rogue's clearly since been portrayed as older than Kitty, probably closer to the age of Colossus. But if she's supposed to have known Sentry before she joined the X-Men, she'd have been late teens, too.

It's annoying enough that Marvel and DC like using superheroines as notches on some superhero's bedpost, but Sentry being a dirty old man who goes after teenagers is just creepy, far more so than Gwen and Norman being something that just...happened when she found him mid-breakdown.

And presumably even Tony forgot he was an alcoholic, so he could learn it again during the "Demon in a bottle" saga.

More and more, I find myself wishing that the Sentry just somehow infects everyone around him with false memories of knowing him as a friend and/or lover.
