I just got Prelude to Schism today.
Honeslty I expected something to happen, but it was a really good buildup.
I thought it was much better than Uncanny has been,
It read like old school Paul jenkins, like his Hulk run.
so its good, but anyway
what I am wondering is do you guys think Schism is actually going to have ramifications and effects in the main titles?

do you think events in this will be swept under the rug, and everyone just blindly continues to follow emperor summers?

( hope not )

Huh. Hated it. Not sure which was more wasteful the poser cover or the less than minimal 2 sentences on the PrevPage. As to the rest...

X-Men: Prelude to Schism (0000) #1

All this moment in time and tense psychological bracing and we dont even get a name to shock us into believing all this worry they tried to evoke?
All this jumbled flashbacking sequential disorientation.
All this inconsistent coloring - if not lack thereof.
All this and that about Jean, told in a way for those old readers who remember her, muuuust be for a reason - or it BETTER be for a reason.
All this reliance on Xavier's opinion over his senior staff but what have you done lately, Xavier?! Besides nothing since your Sinister stole your corpse? Oh you had that one arc in Legacy (involving Sinister too IIRC) and probably doing something in Age of X (though not reading that). But its hard to believe you even stay on the Island with your notable absences. Huh, you hugged Scott in the past... even that display seemed awkward.
All this focus on Scott characterization this issue and yet couldnt help myself from mocking him on page 9 already which didnt bode well for the story either. "I DON'T WANT TO BE SPECIAL. I WANT TO BE ORDINARY." Uhhh, don't worry Slim, you AIN'T special anymore.

Still missing my brother...
