Huh. Completely forgot or it didn't register that Monet was trained by Gateway - 'til seeing these pages, from GenX7, posted on a bulletin board just now. Remind me what she can credit him for teaching him? And maybe what was the point of that child's drawing? tia

Everything before Generation X #40-ish was not the real Monet. It was the twins posing as Monet. And the twins are the significance of the child's drawing. They were 8 years old and one was autistic, and that's how she depicted the world. This was also the reason for M's catatonic periods. This was even true before Lobdell's plans got slightly altered. The only difference is that Lobdell intended for their to only be the twins, and Monet was a figment of their imaginations when they merged.

Everything/anything is credited to Gateway, really. He was the St. Croix's personal Xavier, pretty much.

Who is he? Is Xavier being comical or insightful on this cover?
