How cute is that scene?! \:\) Is it from 616 or mAdvUniverse? Too bad the premiere of Nightcrawler was not as cute...

That's from one of the Power Pack digests, which aren't in-616-continuity. X-Men & Power Pack: The Power of X.

If it gets any cuter than that, I don't know what.

It appropriately was not labelled as ALL-NEW since it pretty much felt like SAME-OLD. Which is not necessarily a bad thing 'cuz as a generic Team-Up and a Claremont issue it as a strong effort. There is so much spiritual status and reborn reality this issue SHOULD HAVE addressed but instead brought the readers right into a training session for -oddly- more focus on Wolverine's sitch and then an adventure du jour for some -spirited- action. The cover was quite disappointing too; the montage backdrop was a great idea but the scenes/connections were not impressive... or maybe it was Puck still wearing an X that turned my stomach. Didn't care for Beast's comment about Kurt punches were too fast to count either.

Agreed for the most part. There's plenty that Claremont missed in this first issue, and it can't be blamed on him not knowing what Aaron was doing. So much that Kurt has missed since his absence wasn't really touched on.

Yet there were enough good elements that have me better than just indifferent for #2:
-Celia Reyes appears to survived the cancellation of Astonishing
-Ro handled more like she should be (even though that's A LOT of humiditiy in the Danger Room lockdown area to believe)

Agreed, but not about the humidity.

-Mercury giving a happy greeting, after Sprite ironic original Sprite reaction to Kurt (BTW what happy moment did Cess and Kurt ever share?)

Don't think there's been "happy moments."

-intro of Rico was small cameo but something

Really liking this guy.

-anticipated swashbuckling-like action for Herr Wagner
-reminiscing about Excalibur days with Rachel complete with classic comic covers(... now go away Rachel!)

One of the best parts of the issue.

-RETURN OF AMANDA! Finally! She even has a Bamf Doll of her own!

I guess it's expected that he go to Amanda straight away, but I hope she doesn't stick around.

-intro of a villain TRIMEGA... not particularly compelling yet but he is ALL-NEW which is a big plus

I thought he was pretty exciting for a first appearance and the fight was well choreographed.

-as awful as it was to see unclear contribution of the bothersome Bamfs, it was exciting to see Sefton suit up for the next issue fight (wonder if she'll go by Daytripper?)

ARGH! I hope to never see the mention of Daytripper again.

Overall, pretty good start. Very fast paced, especially for a Claremont story.
