the wisdom of mounting an ongoing series based on this timelost squad lies largely in contrasting them against the presentday X-Men. And above all keeping things simple.

Y'd think! Now, a team of the past fighting a team of the future -in the present- miiight be given a unique comicbook scenario freshness to it [especially since "ever-present " Rachel was merely solo everytime she's done it] but this issue did not read with that kind of spin.

as the actual plot itself is an example of the X-Men as its most obfusciating and inpenetrable. A mish-mash plot with a twisted team of future X-Men

*quickly clicks over to Merriam-Webster* ...nicely described.

nb. Ended up reading this afterall. Hey, look it's Kitty's old boyfriend...
