Funk YEAH - X-MEN Days Of Future Past... I laughed, I cried, I chortled... I 'Aww WOW'd' and saved a nice big WOO HOO for the stinger at the end of credits... Great effects, tightly woven plot, a film that knows where it's heart is... Not sure if it's better than AVENGERS - pretty close though, and will certainly give it a run for it's money for biggest US Box Office opening - i'll say btwn $180m - $200m US (so $190m on the button) Avengers stands at $207m - the record thus far...

Great casting, Fassy, Macks and JLaw were especially solid, the newbies are all welcome additions each with a moment to shine, Quicksilver a surprise scene-stealer (never thought I would say that) and i'm now a big 'Fan' of Bingers... With a seat-drenching climax and a heartening denouement, i encourage you all to go see it

I give it a solid B+ or A- depending on my mood... the ship has been righted and now I can't wait for XMEN: Apocalypse

I haven't seen it yet, but my fear is that it will be a let-down. I love the Days of Future Past story-line in the comics, and have high expectations. I also think that the studio dropped the ball. This story-line could easily have been a 3-movie trilogy. Ditto the Age of Apocalypse. But the producers didn't have the vision for it. Instead, a more rushed story, in one film. That makes me uncomfortable. The one poor review I read in the press said it was on the same level as X-Men 3. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping I like it much more than that.

And Quicksilver? Love the comic character, but this version looks preposterous. The actor's hair is an absolute disaster.
