I have a guess at who the bubblehead is , I remember a x-men story a few years age about group from space with some cosmic powers called the Evolutionaries and they had outfits like the bubblehead guy. The story bounced back between the o 5 x-men past and present day x-men , and the Evolutionaries wanting a leader for the mutants and they also wanted to end the humans. At the end of the story one of the the Evolutionaries was left on earth and he was very mad at Cyclops.
