Quote:Cannonball was supposed to be the Connor/Duncan.
Ah. OK. For some reason this particular story has him out of the equation.
Quote:There was also no contest or grand prize as there was in Highlander.
There is now. Gideon is taking the powers of the ones who die. The Prize is getting all of the powers. Exactly like Highlander. The Externals weren't always a Highlander rehash, apparently. But they are now.
Quote:There was no "there can be only one."
There is - as far as Gideon is concerned. Maybe the Highlander thing is strictly a Gideon thing but it is in fact the path he's following. He's behaving exactly like the Kurgan and with exactly the same goal in mind.
Quote:Wow is Eve built like a sex-bot or what?
Well, she is a sexy human (smoking redhead) given a robot body. Frankly, my robot body will be fabulous!
My robot body would be comical.
Quote:Do we know why Selene didn't kill all the Externals when apparently she could have?
Does that mean no - there was no reason given? Or does it mean she had a different agenda than killing them?
Quote:Regarding time paradoxes - I agree, Emerick Man. Longshot and Shatterstar - and maybe Doop? - don't matter in this context, but Armor and Laura are surely doing and experiencing things they hadn't in the previous version of the time line.
In the grand scheme, none of this really matters unless one of them dies. I really doubt any of these characters will ever even mention this happening.
So the time paradoxes will simply be ignored? Yeah, you're probably right. But it would be cool to have modern-day Armor be "inexplicably" more awesome than we would have expected before this story played out. I mean, apparently this girl (with just a little more training) could duke it out with Godzilla. I would argue that she's one of the most powerful of all mutants. Is that how she gets portrayed?
