This piece really doesn't make much sense. Selene never gained any of their powers when she killed them back in the day. The other Externals were never interested in killing each other. They barely associated until a new one came along every so often, and they would test fitness of the newbie.

I think Gideon, Absalom, Burke, Nicodemus and Saul hung out from time to time. Candra and Selene thought they were too good to come to the External meetings according to Absalom. I don't think Apocalypse felt any affinity for the others either (I think there was a prophecy where one of the Externals was supposed to destroy Apocalypse). Crule wasn't well liked by his fellow Externals.

The Externals were the high school audio visual club. They were uppity and arrogant but no one liked them or wanted to join their dumb little club anyways.
