No reason for them being the defacto over Gold... or Astonishing. Mustn't forget Astonishing.

Oh Good Lord. There's Astonishing too? That's a real book that has to be taken into account? I thought it was just, "Hey look, fan favorite writers and artists get to tell X-Men stories. Woo-hoo!" Like Morrison's All-Star Superman or Frank Miller's All-Star Batman.

Nevertheless, I get the feeling Marvel is considering Jean the alpha mutant. That Supergirl pose just reeked of alpha. And then there's the underwater base. And then there's the mission to do what the X-Men always used to do.

    I think Red trumps Astonishing.

But hey, I'm basing that on six pages, so nobody with any intelligence should take me seriously. I know I certainly don't.

Notice how Kurt will be in two books? Excalibur and Red? What's that about? (Yeah, I know, that was random, but it popped into my head so I typedd it.)

Well, I'd say the team sort of being led by Xavier and having more A-listers trumps the one with Jean and a bunch of also-rans.

City of Heroes is BACK!
