> Stupid feminist, yeah, but don't conflate it with the #metoo stuff. It's not the same.

> But seriously, historically, except in very rare occasions, the position of King is above that of Queen. They will often attach a qualifier ("regnant") for a Queen that holds ruling power because they are not expected to hold that power by default.
> And um... the Hellfire Club ranks are about chess. In chess, the Queen is the most powerful.

Unisex names is one thing. Almost every one now, eh. Yet, isn't it Etymologically unheard of that a WOMAN has been called KING - in a relatable world?

> Eh. TBH, I'm having a lot of trouble seeing Emma help a flatscan. Often, in the past, her reaction has been, "What have you done for me/mutants lately?" And this was before her return to villainy when she was playing nice as Scott's girlfriend.
> It should have been any mutant telepath than her, imo.

It would have been so much better to get a footnote of what 'marker' Emma owed Jess. It would seem a bitq-rating pandering to have choosen her as the telepath if the past favour was just an untold story plot device. On the other hand, during Jess' association with The Avengers, the team was always hard pressed to get easy access to a telepath. Sersi and Moondragon never take calls. ;\) Easily accessible non-mutant telepaths seem hard to come by. https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Telepaths It's also kind of odd that she asked for tech instead of psi-extpertise from Emma. Why not Stark as the obvious first choice?

From what I understand, if a woman takes the title of King, it is in order to deny someone else to take the position of King. In Hungary, for instance, King Mary of Hungary took the title of King in order to deny any consort or anyone else to take the title of King. Technically the term is Queen Regent with the king being a jure exoris (by the right of the queen) King, but I can understand Emma taking the title for herself in order take away the chance for another man (or consort) to take the title of King.

As for Jessica Jones' marker on Emma Frost, it probably has something to do with Dark Reign. Emma played both sides of the fence when it came to Dark Reign, and I could see Jessica doing something that would make Emma owe her one. Also, Emma probably has a soft spot for children and probably wouldn't want Luke and Jessica's baby being manipulated by Purple Man.
