I haven’t read the issue but I would guess that a Boromir pledge would be one that is reneged upon.

In LOTR Boromir initially pledges to help Frodo but then he is seduced by the power of the ring and attempts to take it from Frodo. However, he did redeem himself by helping Merry and Pippin.

Thanks! Not being fluent at all on LotR, that reference was curious. Seem to recall he was a hero in the end so if he did temporarily turn it didn't seem like a goto reference for flipping sides. Maybe someone could've been namedropped who's reneging was more permanent? Like Benedict Arnold or some recent shady studio or music pop culture name?

Googling "Boromir Pledge" failed so maybe it was just a Domino take on the iconic trilogy? This is a good excuse for me to go to the library and take it out to rewatch for fun.
