Reply Subj: How would you incorporate X-Men into the MCU?

With the FF, it would be kind of easy to just say, "They went into space in 2008 in order to beat the Russians and the Chinese to a space anomaly on the far side of the moon of Titan. Now they're back, with strange powers..."

But how would you introduce the X-Men? I was thinking that before the snap, mutants were highly unusual. You pretty much had Magneto and Xavier and they kept themselves hidden. After the snap, kids started developing super powers as a result of the "snap." Along with kids developing powers also comes this distrust by parents and people in authority who had created heroes.

Xavier forms a rescue squad to find mutants and help them. Magneto forms his Brotherhood, as a sort of mutant supremacist movement.

On the day that the FF went into space (seemingly never to return) and when Iron Man came out to reports as Tony Stark, James Howlett was taken into custody in Iraq by Nick Fury. He had been experimented on in order to create a Super Soldier like Captain America but things went horribly wrong. James became Patient Zero and his mutation spread to others, infecting them with the mutant virus that changed people's DNA.

This was 12 years ago.

Today, Logan is sitting in a bar where Professor Charles Xavier tries to recruit Logan for a dangerous mission. Xavier had already sent a group to the island of Genosha to pinpoint a dangerous power source that threatens the world called Xorn. He recruits Wolverine, Storm, Nightcrawler, Banshee, Sunfire, and the Indian Thunderbird to stop the power source.

Genosha is ruled by Magnus Lescher, an old friend of Xaviers, who we learn has been using his citizens as genetic guinea pigs, by mutating their DNA and making them into super-soldiers.

We learn that it isn't Magnus' doing. It is the Island itself and that mutants weren't created by Magnus, they were created by SHIELD. Mutants aren't the next stage of Evolution...they're weapons created by the US government so that there will never again be a Chituari attack. It is Magnus, who was an American soldier experimented on by the US government (after Wolverine), who decided to rebel and to take those mutants to Genosha. But as we learn, Genosha is what lured Magneto and his followers to that island nation like a Venus Flytrap, luring flies.

By the end of the movie, we have a few things occur. Xavier and Magneto die, with Xavier stopping Magneto before he destroys all of them. Cyclops realizing that the world will only hate and fear their kind once they learn that all they were meant to be is soldiers, ends up joining the Brotherhood with Emma Frost. Jean Grey, in order to stablize the Island nation, becomes their leader Xorn, and uses her telepathy/telekinesis to calm Krakoa and keep him inert. And it is left for Wolverine, Storm, Banshee, Iceman, Angel, Thunderbird, Jubilee and Sunfire to create the All-New, All Different X-Men
