Also Iceman being gay should not be equated with genocide like that one poster was stating, that is just stupid.

Yeah, that example made no sense.

Namor was born the way he is from the genes of human and atlantean mixing. Hybrid or mutant are equally applicable as the mutations would not have occurred without the genes mixing and making him a hybrid.

Hmm...

I need to go back and reread the early X-men issues and recheck the context of when Xavier was thinking how he was in love with Jean

Granted it does seem creepy but he never did anything about those feelings but seriously was it "Creepy love" or was it the love a father would have for daughter, or in this case surrogate father/daughter?

Never read the ONE ish but get the impression it was just like when Pym lashed out and hit Jan in a context that was reinterpretted years later. Albeit in a far less lasting way. Here's a line for you:
> In X-Men #4 (1964), Stan Lee and Jack Kirby provided us the mostly forgotten tableau of a forty-something Professor X waxing erotic for an underage Jean Grey. This panel was left unaddressed until the Onslaught saga of the mid-90s...

On a related note, Xavier was Man of the Year in 1991!!! \:\)
(Not to mention 4th Best Dressed. ;\) )

I miss Dad & Dan.

Yup. This was also at a time when they hadn't totally nailed down Xavier's age. He claimed he got his mutancy from his dad working at Alamogordo when he was conceived. By 1963, this wouldn't have made him much older than his "students." Calling them "students" is also using the term very loosely.
