Quote:Finally got around to read this installment. There's no current X-title that is must read or really worth PBPing. "Thank you Krakoa", indeed. And this ish, along with it's unlikable art, would have been no exception to the Krak-bivalence if not for a good thing that happened...
Quote:-Warpath's heartfelt reunion with Thunderbird since his logic-challenging return? *pshaw*
Meh. Thunderbird should not be bigger than Warpath.
Quote:-Rahne's son revealed to be alive after all this time? D'oh - or is it D'uh!
Tier is not alive. We just saw him during War of the Realms. He lives in Hel with his dad.
Quote:-Cosmar, who normally can alter reality, goes to Moira MacTaggert hospital to see Morlock Masque to helf her look normal (Third World tripping 'cuz Krakoa running low on Image Inducers and Magik ain't THAT good at her craft)? "If you say so."
Things like this bug me. Mutants should not like the term or concept of "normal." That Mystique/Nightcrawler scene in X2 should capture their belief system perfectly: "-Why not look like everybody else? -We shouldn't have to." And Masque shouldn't be someone who cares about this.
I also don't like how Masque is having this problem, since we saw him become Marilyn Monroe-esque once. It's also been suggested he can move his organs around, so as not to be killed.
And image inducers should never be a thing on Krakoa.

Does Gabby ever wonder about krakloning her dead sisters? Wonder where Bellona is. And what about the Mongrels?

Quote:...the introduction and hopeful character improvement with CEREBELLA! Sure, DC debuted it's Psimon since 1981 (or Larsen's Brainiape since 1995), and this (not perfect but improved Krakclone version) opens problematic selective logic fails with many of the previous resurrections. Still, Martha No-Girl Johansson deserves some kind of proper spotlight since she's been an underutilized (or is it useless) background TP character since her debut in 2001. Even ) This could be her time to shine.
Her new body is not as cool-looking as her Generation Hope body, imo.
They're still using the brain-in-a-jar motif, which I'm not fond of. I think it's kind of uncreative to continue with the visible brain thing. They seem to be passing this off as Martha accepting her brainy appearance, which I'm not on board with. She once telepathically appeared to Spider-Man as a very normal blonde teen. I'd assumed that was way she looked before the U-Men stole her body.
I still predict she'll be underutilized. She's just not all that interesting.
City of Heroes is BACK!
