Kelly is a mixed bag, but more bad than good, imo. Overall, he just didn't really contribute much. Seagle was better.

My reading right now is "Marrow-centric". Every time I read her in Seagle's Uncanny, her voice doesn't feel quite right. The dialogue feels scripted. (Which, of course, I know it IS, but it shouldn't feel like I'm reading the script...)

I really disliked the "Psi-War" arc. Not only did it fall flat, but just sidelined Betsy. There was no other point to it, when it made claims of being this major thing.

I think I originally read this before I had much knowledge of the Shadow King. I liked his "voice" in this story. I thought it was fun. And the idea of bringing in African folk-lore was a cool new take for me at the time. I do wish Kelly had followed up with something interesting with Psylocke after this story. It made fun of her, exposed her self-doubt, then took away her telepathy. Then moved on to something new.

Bachalo no. I find his art so chaotic that I can't tell what's happening most of the time.

When he's running at about half-Bachalo, I like him. I liked his Generation X work, and I like what he did here. Bachalo's recent "Non-Stop Spider-Man" was a mess. He was running at "full Bachalo", and not only did Peter Parker look about 12 years old, but I literally had to go over a page a few times carefully to figure out what is happening.
